Install GambleGuard, fix a problem, report a gambling site that gets through, or send us a message. A real person reads every one, usually within 24 hours.

Install GambleGuard

  1. Open the Chrome Web Store

    Go to the GambleGuard listing on a desktop or laptop.

  2. Add to Chrome

    Select Add to Chrome, then Add extension. It installs in seconds.

  3. Pin the shield

    Select the puzzle-piece icon and pin GambleGuard so your progress is one click away.

  4. You’re protected

    Blocking starts immediately. Add any extra sites from the extension window.

Fix a problem

GambleGuard is not blocking a gambling site

Reload the page first. If it still loads, check that GambleGuard is turned on at chrome://extensions. Some smaller sites are not on the built-in list yet: block it now with Add a site in the extension, and report it below so we can add it for everyone.

I cannot see the GambleGuard icon

Select the puzzle-piece icon in the Chrome toolbar, then select the pin next to GambleGuard. The shield icon will stay in your toolbar.

A normal site is being blocked

GambleGuard sometimes catches pages that talk about betting, such as sports news. Send us the address with the contact form and we will correct it in the next update. There is no allow list by design, so there is no quick way around a block during an urge.

How do I add or remove my own blocked sites?

Open GambleGuard from the toolbar and select Add a site. Your list appears under My blocked sites, where you can also remove entries. Removing a site asks you to confirm first.

Does GambleGuard work in Edge, Brave, or other browsers?

GambleGuard is built and tested for Google Chrome on desktop. Browsers built on Chromium, such as Microsoft Edge and Brave, can usually install it from the Chrome Web Store, but we do not officially support them yet.

How do I reset my stats?

Open GambleGuard, select Settings, then Reset stats. Your protection and custom block list are not affected.

Tell us about a gambling site GambleGuard does not block yet. We check each report and add confirmed gambling sites in the next update.

Want it blocked right now? Open GambleGuard and use Add a site. It takes effect immediately.
