Agreement
By installing or using GambleGuard or this website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use them.
What GambleGuard is
GambleGuard is a free Chrome extension that blocks access to gambling websites using a built-in block list, page scanning for gambling language, and a custom block list you control. It also shows personal statistics that are stored only on your computer.
What GambleGuard is not
GambleGuard is a tool that supports your decision to avoid gambling. It is not a medical treatment, a substitute for professional help, or a guarantee that every gambling site will be blocked. If you are struggling with gambling, please contact the National Problem Gambling Helpline at 1-800-MY-RESET or a qualified professional.
Limits of blocking
You understand that GambleGuard:
- may not block every gambling site, especially new ones;
- works only in Google Chrome on the computer where it is installed, and not in other browsers, apps, or devices;
- can be disabled or removed by anyone with access to Chrome settings; and
- may occasionally block a site that is not a gambling site.
Your responsibilities
Use GambleGuard lawfully and for personal or family use. You must be 18 or older, or have permission from a parent or guardian. Please report gambling sites that are not blocked so we can improve the list for everyone.
Privacy
GambleGuard does not collect your browsing data. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Intellectual property
GambleGuard, its name, logo, and content are owned by GambleGuard. You may not copy, modify, resell, or redistribute the extension, or remove its branding, without permission.
No warranty
GambleGuard is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, including effectiveness, availability, accuracy of the block list, or compatibility with every website or browser configuration.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, GambleGuard and its developers are not liable for any gambling losses, failure to block a website, service interruptions, or any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of, or inability to use, the extension or website.
Changes
We may update the extension, change or discontinue features, or revise these terms. Changes to the terms take effect when posted here with a new date.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States.
